“Is this a cost-effective E-board within the category?” –KAMi JUINs ESK8 Reviewer
Carbon Hybrid BVR Unibody
Nobody likes “bad vibes.” Especially when skating. Whether it’s paddle ball sports, sound design, or snowboard design… everyone knows that carbon fiber is strong and light but flexes less and vibrates much longer than other materials and that fiberglass dampens more and has slightly more flex than carbon fiber. Taking inspiration from hybrid approaches seen in other industries our BVR (Bad Vibe Reduction) hybrid unibody design combines the best of carbon fiber with the best of fiberglass. The result? A rigid 2 in 1 deck built for speed but with modest vibration dampening in combination with our 3mm custom padded grip. During testing, the BVR carbon hybrid unibody showed an average dampening of vibrations of about 15% when compared to other traditionally rigid carbon fiber decks in ESK8.
Samsung 50S Cells Are Ideal For ESK8
For years we’ve wanted someone to deliver both high continuous discharge and high capacity. The Molicel P42A was a step in the right direction but the Samsung 50S cell is even better. Combining the ideal mixture of high continuous discharge and 5000mah capacity the Propel Pivot has a remarkable 864-watt hours on hand and enough power to safely unlock the potential of its unrelenting 70a FOC ESC. Say goodbye to battery sag and range anxiety. This is the battery you’ve been waiting for. The range of the GT can reach an astonishing 87km, and the top speed can even exceed 60kph.
864Wh Wireless PCBA Battery Design
The Pivot GT doesn’t only have the best battery cells in ESK8 it has the best 12S4P battery design. By eliminating wiring from our battery design and introducing a brand new PCBA approach we’ve created the most shockproof and resilient mass-produced battery powered electric skateboard battery ever seen in this price tier.
Choose Your Style:
Midnight Matte or High Gloss
Introducing our new Midnight Matte finish: a sleek, matte surface that exudes elegance and mystery. Unlike the High Gloss, which offers a shiny piano black look, Midnight Matt brings a modern, understated vibe. Both options enhance the beauty of the PIVOT, catering to different styles and preferences.
70A Custom FOC ESC
There’s a lot of differing opinions over ESC design in ESK8 but here’s one thing many seem to agree on. 70A is very powerful for a 2 in 1 electric skateboard. That’s why the PIvot GT has a customized 70a FOC controller. It’s reliable, easy to use, and delivers buttery smooth power to climb the highest of hills, tame the thickest cuts of grass, and propel SK8ers of all sizes.
Bravura Alloy Wheels Standard.
87km Range Optional.
Our Bravura wheels first debuted on Endeavor and have been a worldwide hit ever since. They’re provided standard on the Pivot GT but there’s also the upgrade option to add a set of our specially designed 78a durometer street wheels at a discounted price. Under optimal conditions, and a smooth cruising speed, test riders have accomplished 87km range tests! The Pivot series was built for easy wheel changing in mind. ABEC-inspired, you have access to wheel options not only from us but from many of the most popular brands in skateboarding, Including Cloudwheels. Experience wheel versatility like never before with the Pivot GT.
Integrated Lighting Control System
Night riding is one of ESK8’s true pleasures if you’ve got the right lighting setup and with the Pivot GT you will. Through our self-developed integrated lighting control system, the Pivot GT makes it possible to control all light functionality from your ESK8 remote. The taillights come factory-set, with the headlights optional. It’s all your choice.
4 Acceleration Modes!
You can freely switch between four different acceleration modes on your remote according to preferences and ESK8 experience. Both the 3rd and 4th gears of the Pivot can reach a top speed of up to 57km/h but the 4th gear was optimized with a thrilling, dramatic, full torque acceleration curve for professional ESK8 racers. Not for the faint of heart, enjoy the challenge of taming it over time! It’s also great for insane hill climbs. Until then, the first gear is optimized for beginners, the second for smooth cruising and the third for the advanced rider.
Also 4 Brake Modes!
We listened to customer feedback. Brake power preferences are very subjective. Some love them soft. Some love them extremely powerful. With 4 separate brake modes that you can conveniently cycle through on the remote, you can find the best brake modes for you and every ride situation you’re in. Experiment, test and make the board your own.
Intelligent Design For Easier Access
Life with the Pivot GT is easy thanks to our innovative low-maintenance design. Want to inspect your ESC? Did something happen and you need to replace it? You can do either quickly and easily through simple removal and installation steps. All without having to remove any grip or any top plate.
3mm Shock Absorbing Grip Tape
We listen to our owners. They made clear that some version of padded grip was desirable but only if it didn’t look exactly like all of the other hexagon clones that have been recycled for years and only if it still felt like Propel EV. Our North American designers wholeheartedly agreed and crafted something special. The Pivot’s 3mm padded grip isn’t only super grippy, and comfortable on the feet, but it also contrasts beautifully with our Carbon hybrid BVR unibody to create a stunning 3D impression that contrasts our deck’s unique reflective qualities and matte grip for a tremendous effect that has to be seen in person to be believed.

It has a very strong battery using the street wheels. Its build very well. It has good looking rims for AT wheels. Overall very good looks. It's very strong.
A 5/5 for value.
Also propel service is available for questions and helpful.
Wishlist:
*Better looking(metal) customizable remote
*Madwheelz V2 or other 105mm 72A wheel option. Or racing wheel option.
*Fast charger 8a GaN with USB C.
I've had only minor issues:
*flat inner tube on back tire
*rattling in street wheel spacer (tighten up the bolt 1.5 turns and it's fixed)
Overal 4/5 when not considering price.
I was recommended to check out the Propel Pivot GT, because of the incredible deal, quality parts, and superior customer service. Being initially unfamiliar with Propel and not exactly sure if I wanted to jump ship, it soon became very obvious to me that Propel had wayyyyy more to offer than its competitors. After thinking about it for a day, I made the purchase. Due to the increase in sales, and shipping logistics, I had to wait for my board to arrive... by shipping container. However, the wait was so worth it when I got to see and ride the board for the first time, and experience how amazing this board truly is. One day I rode 18 miles, and the board only lost one bar of power. The amount of torque, and hill-climbing power this board has is insane! My other longboard seems to be but a toy now. I had a few opportunities to contact customer service, and they were really quick and polite in assisting and answering any questions I had. They truly live up to their reputation.
Here are a general few suggestions from personal experience: 1) Since this board has DKP trucks, you're able to make super tight turns, which is really awesome for city riding and such. However if you plan on utilizing the full potential of the board's acceleration and speed, make sure the bushings are either tight enough for you, or you get stiff enough ones. I made the mistake of riding with loose bushings and ended up in a speed wobble which sent me flying. Thankfully I was wearing protection. 2) Apply loctite to any bolts without nylon lock washers. Rough terrain and road vibrations can loosen them, at least that was my experience. 3) Always wear protection! This board is extremely fun, but no one is invincible. Always wear a helmet! Kneepads and gloves are next. One thing I've done which might be a help to others, is to cut the tip of the thumb off of my gloves. That way I can grip the wheel, but also have protection for my hands if anything goes wrong. 4) I would also research belt tension, and experiment what works best for you. I heard that if a belt is too tight it can be hard on the motor bearings and wear the belt faster. But if it's too loose, it will skip, so there's kinda a fine balance.
Anyways, I know that was a lot, but I've had only amazing experiences with Propel, and I don't regret making the purchase. I highly recommend this company! Now the next board to get: Endeavor! ;) Happy riding, and stay safe!
Presentation... The quality and craftsmanship are excellent - very nice fit and finish and the board has a very premium feel.
ESCs provide smooth acceleration and braking. In HIGH mode, there is a small step/non-linearity when going between 20 and 22 mph on AT wheels which I need to get used to (maybe, it is just me). The included rear brake light is a nice touch.
Ride quality... the board absorbs road imperfections pretty well even on a PU wheels... AT wheels are simply gorgeous. The DKP trucks can be adjusted to be carvy or tightened for high speed runs. In any case, the turning radius can be quite small if needed. The ride height on AT wheels is decent.
Range-wise (220 lbs fully geared)... I don't let the battery discharge lower than 20% capacity (remote vibrates when the board's battery is <= 25% capacity) and with that, I get around 30 miles on PU wheels and 22 miles on AT wheels in speed mode 3 (HIGH, the 2nd before PRO) and brakes mode MID with spirited riding around 25-30 mph.
Remote... It does its job but I wish it had more advanced features like battery's per-cell voltage and temperature monitoring (e.g. like the remote of Lorentz Major). Metal case would have been great too.
Charging... takes about 4-5 hours from 20% to 100%. Wish there was a more powerful charger and a setting to adjust the charging threshold/cutoff at 60% (storage mode) and 80% (to extend the battery life when 100% isn't needed).
Some recommendations to the new riders... Please watch Russell's video on belt tension adjustment for Propel Endeavor as it was needed for my board to get better battery life and smoother ride (out-of-box, the belts were rock tight; after adjustment, I'm getting approximately 15% more range on average). Also, if you are on a heavier side, I strongly recommend getting another set of harder bushings as the ones included with the board are a bit soft which can result in speed wobbles (e.g. Riptide's DKP Bushing Box with Krank 93a/96a bushings - choose 65/65 Onsra option for height).
Summary... amazing board and with the new discounted price, it simply dominates its price segment (was deciding between Acedeck, Onsra, Tynee, Backfire, and others). Great job and thanks, Propel!
To think this is even real, Is so sureal. This board has great shock absortion, strong lasting battery and the trucks are amazing.
If you like to go fast and be stable. This is a great choice. I really love the double trucks and the carbon fiber is a bonus too.
This board is made to endure long distance and some bumping terrian.
So thankful, what a super ride. ♡
Thanks Propel, new customer for life now....
