Technical guidance
Note: ISO 150, ISO 220, or ISO 320 circulating gear oil is required for this gear drive and not included. The purchase does include an oil container and dispenser but due to international shipping differences around chemicals, no oil is included.
20CrMnTi gears, higher strength, increased longevity.
The gear ratio is increased to 5.33, the top speed is 48kph, and the torque is increased by nearly 20%, an offroad rider’s dream. You spoke, we listened.
The 2 defining differences in our drives are they are oil-lubricated, not grease. When gears spin in a box, grease gets thrown off the gear and accumulates on the housing but the housing isn’t where the lubrication is needed. We use a very thin, sewing machine-type oil that the gears are continually submerged in. This results in better lubrication and heat dissipation, the 2 big factors for high-speed gear drives.
The second factor is the CrMnTi METAL GEARS and CBC”d aluminum housing, No plastic parts¡
The high-durability, low maintenance-free gearbox brings Endeavor’s off-road capabilities to a new level! If you’re ready to upgrade your Endeavor, this may be just what you’re looking for!
Regarding the maintenance of gear drive
The brand-new gear needs better lubrication and more frequent cleaning in the early running-in stage. We suggest that the gearbox oil should be changed at 500km for the first time, at 1,000 km for the second time, and every 5,000 km thereafter. Of course, whenever you find that the oil has turned black or has iron filings, you should change it in time.
