A: Currently, this kit is designed exclusively for belt-drive versions. So if you want to install 8mm axles with 125mm Madwheelz wheels, you need to remove the gear drives away from the board first, then you’ll just need an additional belt guard and motor pulley. The Madwheelz wheel kit already includes the motor mount, belt, and wheel pulley. If this solution works for you, please email us at mkt@ridepropel.com, and we’ll assist you in successfully installing the 125mm Madwheelz.

A: With the Madwheel setup, the gear ratio changes to 3 (45:15), compared to the original 4.5 (68:15). However, the wheel radius also changes significantly, which effectively balances out the gear ratio difference. This means your top speed remains consistent, still hitting around 55kph.”

A: The version we’ve released is designed for TKP trucks only. However, we’re super excited to announce that ADT truck compatibility is coming very soon! Please stay tuned for updates!

A: Currently, it’s not a simple bearing swap due to significant differences in axle length and bearing spacing. Our Bravura wheels are designed for a 12mm axle, where the outer distance between the two bearings is 34mm. In contrast, 8mm axles are typically shorter, with the outer bearing distance usually around 26mm.

This means:

  • If you were to use our standard 12mm Ruckus axle with 8mm inner diameter bearings to fit a different wheel, the excess axle length would protrude. This would make it difficult to use a Y-wrench and properly tighten the nut.
  • Conversely, if you tried to use an 8mm axle with our default Bravura wheel, the axle simply wouldn’t be long enough, leaving insufficient thread to securely fasten the nut.

But, we think this is fantastic feedback! We’ve already shared this with our R&D team and will definitely consider this requirement when designing new hubs in the future.
